Shah Foundation and Jayanti Trust are managed by a board of trustees comprised of senior family and other emeritus board members. Set up in founder’s memory both these trusts are funded by the Shah Family.

 

The Shah Foundation Trust finds its purpose in fulfilling many a dreams of socially backward and orphaned children.

 

Shah foundation in collaboration with the Times Group has contributed to rehabilitation of Tsunami victims and aided the rebuilding of schools in Nagapattanam, one of the worst affected regions in Tamil Nadu.  The trust also runs a school for rural children in Gujarat.

 

Jayanti Trust finds fulfilment in caring for the sick, needy and distressed patients by attending to their medical needs. Every year the trust identifies hospitals and nursing homes run by local NGO’s for providing financial aid and donating beds, surgical equipment and medical paraphernalia required by disabled and terminally ill patients.

 

The trust actively supports the initiatives undertaken by the Art of Living (AOL) foundation under Guruji: Shri Shri Ravishankar’s guidance for humanitarian and social causes.  Demonstrating solidarity with the AOL volunteers the trust has funded emergency relief services to the victims of Kashmir earthquake and Karnataka floods during the recent times. 

 

The trust is also actively supporting the community development programs undertaken by the Art of Living foundation for rehabilitation of youth offenders.

 

The privacy of the trust activities is closely guarded as the family continues to uphold its traditional principle: “Charity needs Humility and not Publicity”.
